The Motiv GT 1 This a new one and seems to be designed to handle the conditions better after the fresh breaks down this would be a good type of ball for the last game. In addition, I would classify it as a late responds type ball to friction. The ball drilling layout used was pin above the ring finger and 4.5 x 4 inch ball drill layout. This bowling ball comes with 1000 abralon polished. Result were hard and fast on the friction the which gave us the later and harder type look on the lane. I am sure you could drill this for an earlier and slower responds to the lane condition. The balls surface seems to be very with tunable for use with your favorite polish and abralon.
We drilled ours with the pin below our bridge 5 inches from out pap and the mass at 45 degrees for a slow responds to friction type layout. We used the out of box finish and bowled it on the AMF HPL bowling lane surface. On the house shot this ball showed us a lot of angularity and a faster recovery than we expected. We pretty much had the lane if we played from 18 at the arrows and swung it to about 6 at the end of the pattern. The ball has a hard hit at the pins and is very angular, the ball did not rollout at all I would say this is more of a flip type ball if you like that motion I think you would like this ball.
Lane #1 bowling ball fans will be pleased to know there company has a new ball out called the chainsaw massacre. It is a polished reactive cover stock tht is made for medium lane conditions In addition it used a pearl bleader cover with the famous lane one core system.
The Lane #1 Agent Orange is a dull matte finished bowling ball. We drilled ours for slow response to friction for longer oil patterns. We used it with the out of box finish and then polished it with factory finish polish. In addition, we used it both on a house pattern and then on the pba pattern scorpion. The lane surface was an HPL AMF synthetic. The reaction on the house shot with the out of box finish was arcing, controllable and smooth. The area of the lane was from 15 board at the arrows to about 7 board at the breakpoint and great smooth recovery. Then we polished the ball and were able to move 5 right on the approach and play straighter and had a faster response on the friction on the backend. Then we used it on the scorpion pattern with 1000 abralon and had a great reaction and we were able to play the pattern at about 18 out to about 13 at the breakpoint and had a great reaction. This bowling ball has a nice arcing motion and is in the control category of bowling balls in my opinion.
The 900 global bounty has a double cross asymmetric core design with the S77 cover stock from BASF. It comes dull, but have can have the surface shined or adjusted with abralon. The bowling ball drilling layout I used was stacked for a later and faster responds on shorter or broken down patterns this was for lower rev rate bowler or speed dominant bowlers. The ball went long and grabbed the friction hard but not uncontrollable it would set up if we tugged it a little. We used it on both wood and synthetic bowling lane surfaces. In addition, this is one of 900 globals most popular balls.
